As you will see, my landscapes reflect the disappearing rural life that surrounds me. This is often my most expressive subject matter. I do paint the occasional house portrait but it has to have a distinct personality. I love old farms, falling down barns, ponds and meadows. Often, it is the little things that catch my eye such as an old rattan chair on the porch of a beach house with peeling paint.
