A strong sense of place is important to me. Therefore, I paint the native wildlife that surrounds me. These include animals like black bear, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, foxes, raptors and otters. I will do commissioned art work of other animals such as wolves and coyotes. My main medium is oil painting, although I also work in pastel and gouache and am happy to accommodate the medium of your choice.

I live by the Cranberry Bog Preserve in Tannersville, Pennsylvania, the southern most boreal bog in the country. This gives me a lot of opportunity to see wildlife in its natural environment. The Delaware river is just 14 miles away and I go kayaking there with my husband. We see bald eagles, blue herons, kingfishers and otters. All of this serves as incredible inspiration for me.

I have created a style which blends the qualities of folk art with the playfulness and perspective of children's book illustrations.
